MUJER en SÍLABAS I (fotografías-poemas)
WOMAN in SYLLABLES I (photos-poems)

Para Eva, la de Adán
For Eve, Adam’s

Y como en tabletas de arcilla
con su rastro de olvidados paraísos,
esta sílaba de mujer…
—
And as on clay tablets
with their trace of forgotten paradises,
this syllable of woman…
…………………………………………..

Regresados los soles a la memoria del mar,
en la dulce pausa de tu vientre
prolongan los horizontes su experiencia de luz.
—
As the suns return to the memory of the sea,
in the sweet pause of your belly
the horizons extend their experience of light.
…………………………………………..

A su dios de colores
blanca cicatriz agrega la selva
cuando en un ojo de luz
inscribe Eva el primero de sus pasos.
—
When Eve inscribes her primal footstep
in an eye of light,
the jungle adds a white scar
to its god of colors.
…………………………………………..

Mujer: patria del hombre,
fértil es tu verano,
contagio de los ramos
donde despierta a su vuelo el pájaro.
—
Woman: man’s homeland,
fertile is your summer,
spread of branches
where the bird awakens its flight.
…………………………………………..

Talismán para la buena suerte
de los mares, un cuerpo de mujer…
—
A talisman for the good luck of seas,
a woman’s body…
…………………………………………..

Asustado de belleza
empalidece ante las ventanas
el color de la noche.
—
Scared of beauty
turns pale at the windows
the color of the night.
…………………………………………..

Como de eclipses soñados
parece de pronto rodearse
el último eco de tu desnudez.
—
As if from dreamed eclipses
suddenly seems to surround itself
the last echo of your nakedness.
…………………………………………..

Desde cielos acostados,
el rayo gentil…
—
From recumbent skies,
the gentle ray…
…………………………………………..

He aquí el detalle
con que unos ojos como de niño
se construyen un jardín de alma.
—
Here is the detail
with which childlike eyes
build for themselves a soul garden.
…………………………………………..

Pausa de claridad donde grabar,
como en una loza, el ojo conmovido.
—
A pause of clarity where to engrave,
as in faience, the moved eye.
…………………………………………..

Un agua de volcán
relumbra en tu cuerpo
cuando te miro desde el sueño.
—
Volcano water
glistens on your body
when I look at you in my slumber.
…………………………………………..

Esfinge de cristal que asienta su perfil
en el humo de unas arenas quemadas:
en tu silencio se disgrega siempre
la voz de tierra con que lo masculino te interroga.
—
Crystal sphinx whose profile
rises from the smoke of scorched sands:
the voice of earth
with which the masculine questions you
fades away in your silence.
…………………………………………..

¿Y qué dios afectuoso
disipa con estas ráfagas
los paisajes de nuestros infiernos?…
—
And what loving god
dispels, with these gusts,
the landscapes of our hells?…
…………………………………………..

Un moverse de brillos retiene para el deseo
la presa que una noche caída en su color
arrastrar pretende hacia habituales orígenes de nada.
—
A tremor of glitters retains for desire
the prey that a night fallen in its color
intends to drag towards habitual origins of nothingness.
…………………………………………..

Y hasta el cielo desea
cuando en escondidos altares
unas manos distintas elevan su ofrenda.
—
And even heaven desires
when, at hidden altars,
different hands raise their offerings.
…………………………………………..

En la soledad de un color
posa su tormenta
la luz que sueña.
—
In the solitude of a color
poses its storm
the light that dreams.
…………………………………………..

Tras chales de ligero sol
el pudiente cielo de tu abandono…
—
Behind subtle shawls of sun,
the wealthy sky of your abandonment…
…………………………………………..

Y vio Dios todo lo que había hecho.
Y era bueno: voz de plumas
tenía el universo
y forma de mujer.
—
And God saw all that he had made.
And it was good:
a voice of feathers had the universe
and a woman’s shape.
…………………………………………..

Para manos de náufragos,
mascarones de proa…
—
For shipwrecked´s hands,
figureheads…
